The EU accepted to support the Project HYPERION (Development of a Decision Support System for Improved Resilience & Sustainable Reconstruction of historic areas to cope with Climate Change & Extreme Events based on Novel Sensors and Modelling Tools) under the H2020 Framework Programme. Partners in the project include universities and companies from Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Cyprus, Norway, Finland, Spain, and Germany. The project is expected to start in June 2019.

Eco-Bot

Oktober 2017: With a successful kickoff-meeting at the 18th and 19th of October 2017 in Berlin, a new European H2020 funded research project has begun its work. The project Eco-Bot (Personalised ICT-tools for the Active Engagement of Consumers towards Sustainable Energy) aspires to change energy consumption behaviour towards energy efficiency. Over the course of the next 39 months, a team of universities, technology developers and providers in the energy field as well as high tech small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) across Europe and Turkey will work together closely.

STOP-IT

June 2017: With a successful kickoff-meeting in Oslo, a new European H2020 funded research project has begun its work. The project STOP-IT (Strategic, Tactical, Operational Protection of water Infrastructure against cyber-physical Threats) focuses on finding solutions to protect critical water infrastructure against physical and cyber threats. Over the course of the next four years, a team of major water utilities, industrial technology developers, high tech small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) and top European Research and Development (R&D) providers across Europe and Israel will work together closely.

EnEffKA

In May 2010 our reserch proposal wwwEnEffKA was allowed by BMBF (support code 01LY0908A). Together with our partners the EnviaTec GmbH, the 3s sensor system solution GbR and the Fachhochschule Köln the RISAs environmental department develops a system to support the efforts of improving the energy efficiency of sewage treatment plants.

E-PRTR Portal put on stream

The portal http://www.prtr.bund.de was put on stream today. The launch was committed with a ceremony at the Radialsystem V in Berlin-Mitte. RISA environmental department created the database, the XML data exchange formats and the web pages for the individual sites. This innovative project was realized using free software only (PostgreSQL, MapBender, TYPO3, Subversion, MediaWiki ...). RISA environmental department also provided the co-ordinate transformations for the different projection systems used by the german federal states.

MEMSCOM

The RISA GmbH has signed a contract with the EU over the MEMSCOM project today. MEMSCOM stands for "Radio Frequency Identification in Tags linked to on board Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems in a wireless, remote and intelligent monitoring and assesment system for the maintenance of Constructed Facilities."

The objective is to equip mechatronical buildings in earthquake-endangered countries with sensors that transmit their measured data via RFID technology to a central data processor. This allows a fast detection of possible security infringements after an earthquake.

The German Federal Soil Information System (BBIS) of the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) has been consigned today and is now available. The RISA-GEN based software serves the collection and analysis of long-term soil monitoring area data (BDF).
